Section 8: Communication
Course communication is especially important in an asynchronous online course, where the impromptu communication that typically takes place in a campus-based course or an online live course is lacking.
Students need regular and prompt communication from their instructor to ensure they are progressing through the course as intended. Additionally, students need to understand their own communication and participation expectations. During an online course, an instructor will communicate information, provide feedback, facilitate learning and engage with students as a class and individually.
