QM Alignment: 8.2
Overview
Over time, some hyperlinks in your course may break. The content or video is no longer available at the link. This is known as link rot. Content may also unexpectedly change or become outdated. You’ll want to regularly check your links and fix, update, or remove them as needed.
Tips
- Check for broken links and images with the Canvas link validator
- All hyperlinks should have informative text – don’t use phrases like ‘Click Here’
- It is recommended to embed videos rather than link to them, so that students can view them in the page

- Remember to check and edit captions (standard 10.2)
