Instructions: Use the matrix below to record your observations. For each reaction, indicate whether a precipitate form – write “ppt” along with its color if one is produced, or “no ppt” if none appears.

For each reaction, include the following:

  • Chemical formulas of each reactant
  • Chemical formula of precipitate produced (if applicable). Be sure to confirm whether precipitation is expected by applying the provided solubility rules.
